i'm back!
@ 11:51 am thank God for the long Easter break!! Eug and I managed to steal some time to escape from the city into the tranquil Mt Tamborine for a good weekend of doing NOTHING! hahaa :D it's our first visit to the mountains but we were attracted to the peace and tranquility of the surroundings and we fell in love with it! To top it off, we were greeting by our lovely hosts at our luxurious B&B hotel and found ourselves in a tastefully decorated room! After settling in, we went to Gallery Walk where the famous handicrafts and knicks knacks are sold. Each shop has their unique identity and everything was so pristine and delicate you really want to buy them back home! And on our way we saw alot of interesting things! like the mr froggie lazing on the chair; cheeky garden sticks to 'welcome' your guests and a goat made out of recycled metal. Flowers were blooming too! Got snapshots of different varieties and thanks to the rain, they were more beautiful than usual!the next day, we were greeted with sumptuous breakfast prepared by the hosts and it definitely kick start to a better morning ahead~! For the rest of the day we were pretty much kept indoors but it was lovely to snuggle up and watch some DVDs. :) I love such holidays because you really feel like you're completely at rest. :) Thank God for holidays~~~ Labels: holiday 0 Comments: |

6th and counting~~
Wednesday, April 08, 2009 @ 11:21 pm it was a simple yet cosy afternoon spent with the dearest. I guess after been together for so long, simplicity is beauty. no special gifts or fanciful rah-rah because we no longer need to impress each other. it's really the company and quality time that we want from each other. ![]() We decided to go to 3 Monkeys at West End for a nice high tea! the weather was perfect with occasional drizzle. the cafe was crowded with people and it's a pretty hippie place, with ornaments and cultural emblems everywhere. we got each a big mug of chai latte (yums! my current fave :P) and a plate of hot nachos to share. You've heard of coffee art, now let us present Chai Art!!! ![]() Using honey as the sweetener we drew different pictures on our mug of chai :) Love~~~~ Labels: love, relationships 0 Comments: |

our love story
Sunday, April 05, 2009 @ 12:01 am This was how we looked like when we first know each other. Till now i still can't believe how I would fall for a ah-beng lookalike with floppy hair!! :P But i never regret my choice since. You were so fit and slim when I met you, someone who was rather shy and did not dare talk to me eye-to-eye. I remembered I had to start up conversations so that it won't feel too awkward. The first time we met, you bought me a pair of trainer skates and honestly, i was BLOWN AWAY. I mean since when do you receive a present on your first date? And then you taught me how to skate too and that was the first time you held my hands as you guide me on the trainers. You sent me bouquet of flowers to my part-time work place for our first month together, a photo album and a Giordano sweater (all of which I can't remember where I've chucked them! :x) and then we took our first 'mini' vacation together - Sentosa :P I can still remember all the uncertainty and unsecurity during the first couple of months of our relationship, but u strongly believe that we're rock solid. It was so heartwarming to hear from you.I remembered on my 20th birthday, you gave me my first diamond ring in my life! It wasn't something expensive but knowing that you've scrimped and saved (eating bao for 1 month!!!) really melted me there and then (i'm still wearing it!). I know you've been into scuba diving when we first knew each other, so instead of leaving you on some weekends while u go underwater to 'hang out' with your fishes, i decided to join you too! I never felt so good to be holding your hands underwater and admiring your passion for underwater photography - how you have the keenest eye for the smallest fish (and you won 1st prize for an amateur photography competition!) and the most beautiful marine organism. And then it was our 2nd Valentine's day - honestly i didn't expect we can be together for so long, but we made it. and we spent birthdays and anniversaries together. and we finally went on a scuba diving trip to Phuket together! I love those days where we just laze around and spend such quality time with each other. Knowing that both of us love the sun and sea absolutely thrills me :) and on the diving trip to Dayang with you, i met with a minor near-death experience. It was a night dive and i was feeling jittery but i know you'd want me to go on it with you. As I descended, I saw a sea bed of urchins waiting for me and I panicked and wanted to resurface. Not knowing that my head was near to the motor of the dive boat, i almost got my head cut off! *shudders* and then i went into hyperventilation and was crying and struggling till i couldn't even walk back to the room. You swept me off and carried me to the bed, with me struggling to breathe and had to rely on a mini oxygen tank. There were tears in your eyes because you thought you had lost me. You kept apologizing for not being able to be with me or rescue me but I told you it was not your fault. That's when I know I can't lose you too. That was the best holiday ever! Just because I love the food and shopping and you got yourself 2 Gundam figurines!! :P and beneath that seemingly indifferent face of yours, you're such a warm and friendly guy. I know you've changed so much for me: chatty, thoughtful and vocal of your thoughts and feelings. If you hadn't realise, you've become the man who leads and guides me in our relationship, my pillar of support. Whenever I look back to reminisce the wonderful times we have together, I can't stop thanking God for bringing you into my life, for showing me what love is and for telling me that there is someone out there who will complete me. Happy 6th Anniversary my darling, I will always love you~~ Labels: anniversary, relationships 2 Comments:

turning 25 (part 2)
Saturday, April 04, 2009 @ 9:20 am yes, as i've promised, something significant happened on my birthday last sunday! (it's not what most of you think lahhhh *blush* :P) Before the 'significant' event, I celebrated my hatch day with our cell group and turns out another guy had the same birthday as me in another cell so we had a combine celebration! We went to this place near church at Clayfied called Tomato Brothers and they had a pizza lunch buffet where they'll serve different and popular flavours of pizza/pizza bread till your tummies can't take it!! :P All for only $19 (including almost free-flow drinks :P) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The pizzas were definitely nicer than the ones we had at Arriverderci - the ingredients were more and richer in flavour. Definitely a must try! :) There was crayon and drawing paper on the table and dear Zoe drew me a BIG birthday greeting! :P So cute!!and after which it was time to TAKE THE PLUNGE! I got baptised together with Eug, Zoe and Ling~!!!! I can't tell u how excited I am because I've long want to do this and it so happened our church arranged for the water baptisim on my birthday! It's a sign from God :) our cell group came to support us!It's really great to have Eug doing the water baptism with me, and I know we will continue to grow with the Lord in our relationship :) 1 Comments:
