i hate winter
Thursday, June 17, 2010 @ 8:04 am

because i hate the cold outdoors and
warm indoors that will make me catch
a cold so easily like how the toad
catches the flies for dinner :((((

I guess i really need to exercise more regularly
to build up my immune system because i hate being sick
and feeling so needy :(

Good thing i managed to take my meds and doused
the dry cracked throat with lots of H2O and honey lemon
and now i need SLEEP!!!
Lots of them!

Here's something to share what I think
it's the ART OF PROCRASTINATION:

Good night~~

a NEW me :)

hi everyone!

I'm back from my mini heart procedure. I'm OKAY already!!! Except for the small bruise at the insertion area, I'm feeling GREAT! ;)

And once again, I've exhibited the true self of being a PIG: I can sleep and concuss ANYWHERE!!!

I was really dozing off every other hour and falling into really deep sleep. And last night, I was still quite worried that I won't be able to sleep well like the other time at CGH, but it turned out to be a blissful night! hahaha :D

I can't wait to get out of the hospital, coz the more I lay at the bed, the more I feel like sleeping and makes me feel kinda impaired or something. :/

Anyway, after bumming for so long, it's time to go back to work on Monday...*boooo*

Owells, no work means NO income, and I've already made alot of travel and activity plans!

Apr: Japan trip with Mummy and Daddy
Jun: Manado/Lembeh diving trip
Sept: Australia with Run-mates
Dec: unplanned dive trip

Looks like my hole is gonna be burnt a BIG hole once again!!! Not forgetting all the small and impulsive purchases. I want my BONUS already!!!! hahaha :P

my heart

Forgot to blog about my super super super expensive follow up with the cardiologist at TTSH yesterday... Thanks to the sweet Leng Lee for reminding me (she sms-ed me and ask about my follow-up).

Thanks to all my dear friends who are concerned about my condition. Luv ya'll!

Waited about 45min before it was my turn. You really pay for what you get. I was scheduled to see a consultant and was brought to The Heart Atrium, which is supposedly this atas heart clinic in TTSH for atas people (not that I am one).

The receptionists use iMac for registration and the magazines were those atas kind like some motor vehicles mags (was oogling at the Lamborghinis and Porsches inside :P).

After brief check, he suggested I go for a heart ultrasound to map out the irregularity that caused the heart to race. "The condition is not lethal" he said it repeatedly, as if I will drop dead the next second or something.

and guess what? The freaking scan cost me $345!!! My lower jaw almost dropped to the floor. Consulting fees and blood test cost me another $125. Lao niang is superrrrr BROKE now. *wails*

Hopefully I can claim for full on this, else I think i can totally survive on liquid diet or any compassionate hand-outs for the next one month.. booooo

SVT
Thursday, November 08, 2007 @ 11:46 am

The technical term is Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT) or in layman terms, a rapid rhythm of the heart in which the origin of the electrical signal is either the atria or the AV node.

Even loosely put, it's superb racing of the heart and yes, last night, my heart was beating at 186 per min for almost an hour. :(

With the experience of my previous episode last year (didn't think it will come back, but who knows? :/), I did some 'self-rescue' and waited for 20minutes to see if the heart beat slows down. So we hop onto a cab and made our way to the A&E at TTSH, before I nearly fainted when they made me lie on the wheeler bed and gave me a jab of Adenosine.

I was kinda amazed at myself that I can actually control, walk and even narrate the whole incident to the A&E doctors. I took note of the time of incident, how long were the symptoms, what was the remedial action taken etc. ( I guess it's all the episodes of Grey's Anatomy that I've been watching :P)

Doc suggest i undergo a simple surgery, Radiofrequency Ablation, to get rid of this irritating electric current inside my heart. Shall find out more after I meet up with the cardiologist and understand how this whole thing works.. Hopefully they don't have to rip open my chest or something. That'll be SOOOO ugly!!!! :(:(:(
