I took the first step to my "DIY Slimming Programme" today, by signing up for rhythmic yoga classes. (http://www.rhythmicyogaworks.com)
Mum saw the ad in the newspapers, which was actually for a Mother's Day promotion. If 2 person sign up for a 12-lessons class for $169, the 2nd person will have 50% off. So we went down to International Building at Orchard Road to take a look.
The instructor is this lady called Lillian, who was same age as my Mum, 53. But boy was her figure awesome!! much like those young supermodels gracing the covers of mags! *jaw drops* yes she's really slim and busty, a pity though she didn't do sth to her face (Mum said if she had gone under the knife she would haf passed off as a 30+ woman!!).
Anyway, Mum and Lillian hit off well and were starting to chat about me (She has a daughter who is 33 yrs old already. In US.), how she started off learning yoga, her classes and such.... And she even let us see the photo album she had taken a few years back and she was in 2 pieces!!!!!!!!!! Her figure was really awesome, makes me feel confident that if i were under her tutelage, I'll be able to achieve that in no time! (plus i'm at the peak of my youth, so shud be easier...) And she mentioned that since I was younger, she will let me try more difficult 'stunts' like standing on my head and other such difficult yoga postures!! and she said she'll make me toner and able to have a curvy bodyline!!! (This seems as good as Chrisy Chung's pic that i posted in my earlier entry!! hahah ;D)
Starting my first class next Sat morn, and i shall go every Sat after work from now on.... I'm really excited about learning this, coz I've seen many successful cases of women getting all toned up and slimmed down after learning yoga! ;P One step closer to my 'Christy Chung's' dream!! woohoo~~!!
Anyway, after that we went shopping and bought some cosmetics at Metro (there's a storewide 20% discount until tom i think) and gotten this nice green shade eyeshadow from Shiseido so i can use when i go to work. Mum bot a lipstick and other such.
Met up with Daddy and Kor at Suntec for dinner. Long time never see my bro liao, and looks really worn out and tired frm his revision... I wonder if it's due to revision or it's coz of his work that got him looking so flacid and lack-lustred. I still prefer those days when he was Windsurfing Capt at NUS, he was all toned up and dark tanned, more healthier looking than now.
We ate at this nice restaurant, RennThai. Heard of the name but have yet to try their new outlet at Suntec. We all agreed that the restaurant was nice coz it's a simple rectangular (actually it's squarish) space with minimal design. Anyway we ordered Tom Yam Seafood Soup, Fried Fish with Thai Chilli Sauce, Spring CHicken with Papaya Salad and Pineapple Rice. Overall the food was tasty and the chilli sauces were GOOD!! (5 thumbs up for chilli lover like me) BUt it was abit on the salty side and a tad too oily (after downing a few mouths of their pineapple rice, i felt like i was smeared with cooking oil). Other than that, the service could haf been better, coz we waited for the bill for like 5min and no one came to take our money. (As if they're so happy to give us free meals!) Spent about $90+ for a dinner for 4 which was quite ok.
After that, we adjourned to Millenia Walk to walk. (no pun intended here) Came across this nice shoe shop and went into to take a look. I was looking out for a comfortable pair of heels (my previous $103 one is super sucky. shall try to sell it on Yahoo Auctions. or is ther any takers? I'm willing to sell for half price. worn for less than a month) for my PA. This shop called Walking Culture (http://www.walkingculture.com/index.php) is really awesome!!! I mean coz they haf big sizes for my BIG feet (up to size 10!) and their designs are not bad either. A good place to shop for corporate shoes if u wanna get any. The service staff is excellent. Makes me feel really pampered and spoilt for choice coz they jus practically took out ALL their size 9 heels and let me try them!!! Felt rather bad for making them do this (hey i din ask them, they jus kept bringing more n more!) but i mus say i was really keen on getting 2 pairs, if not one of them had some defects in the sole which can't be fixed (and they said they will not sell that shoe to me since it's spoilt). Oh well, so i got this pair instead:
Size 41. Price=S$39.90 (SO CHEAP!!!!)I actually saw another pair that has this strap n buckle at the ankle which jus makes my legs look so sexy!! but too bad, they ran out of my size... *boohoo!~*
hah thanks Mummy for buying the shoe for me!! It's so nice to go out with Mummy to shop. To quote from the sales lady at Walking Culture, "Mothers are fashionable mobile ATMs". muahahah ;D

Grilled Salmon Steak ~ $23++
