verse of the day

Saturday, April 30, 2005 @ 11:24 pm

I took the first step to my "DIY Slimming Programme" today, by signing up for rhythmic yoga classes. (http://www.rhythmicyogaworks.com)

Mum saw the ad in the newspapers, which was actually for a Mother's Day promotion. If 2 person sign up for a 12-lessons class for $169, the 2nd person will have 50% off. So we went down to International Building at Orchard Road to take a look.

The instructor is this lady called Lillian, who was same age as my Mum, 53. But boy was her figure awesome!! much like those young supermodels gracing the covers of mags! *jaw drops* yes she's really slim and busty, a pity though she didn't do sth to her face (Mum said if she had gone under the knife she would haf passed off as a 30+ woman!!).

Anyway, Mum and Lillian hit off well and were starting to chat about me (She has a daughter who is 33 yrs old already. In US.), how she started off learning yoga, her classes and such.... And she even let us see the photo album she had taken a few years back and she was in 2 pieces!!!!!!!!!! Her figure was really awesome, makes me feel confident that if i were under her tutelage, I'll be able to achieve that in no time! (plus i'm at the peak of my youth, so shud be easier...) And she mentioned that since I was younger, she will let me try more difficult 'stunts' like standing on my head and other such difficult yoga postures!! and she said she'll make me toner and able to have a curvy bodyline!!! (This seems as good as Chrisy Chung's pic that i posted in my earlier entry!! hahah ;D)

Starting my first class next Sat morn, and i shall go every Sat after work from now on.... I'm really excited about learning this, coz I've seen many successful cases of women getting all toned up and slimmed down after learning yoga! ;P One step closer to my 'Christy Chung's' dream!! woohoo~~!!

Anyway, after that we went shopping and bought some cosmetics at Metro (there's a storewide 20% discount until tom i think) and gotten this nice green shade eyeshadow from Shiseido so i can use when i go to work. Mum bot a lipstick and other such.

Met up with Daddy and Kor at Suntec for dinner. Long time never see my bro liao, and looks really worn out and tired frm his revision... I wonder if it's due to revision or it's coz of his work that got him looking so flacid and lack-lustred. I still prefer those days when he was Windsurfing Capt at NUS, he was all toned up and dark tanned, more healthier looking than now.

We ate at this nice restaurant, RennThai. Heard of the name but have yet to try their new outlet at Suntec. We all agreed that the restaurant was nice coz it's a simple rectangular (actually it's squarish) space with minimal design. Anyway we ordered Tom Yam Seafood Soup, Fried Fish with Thai Chilli Sauce, Spring CHicken with Papaya Salad and Pineapple Rice. Overall the food was tasty and the chilli sauces were GOOD!! (5 thumbs up for chilli lover like me) BUt it was abit on the salty side and a tad too oily (after downing a few mouths of their pineapple rice, i felt like i was smeared with cooking oil). Other than that, the service could haf been better, coz we waited for the bill for like 5min and no one came to take our money. (As if they're so happy to give us free meals!) Spent about $90+ for a dinner for 4 which was quite ok.

After that, we adjourned to Millenia Walk to walk. (no pun intended here) Came across this nice shoe shop and went into to take a look. I was looking out for a comfortable pair of heels (my previous $103 one is super sucky. shall try to sell it on Yahoo Auctions. or is ther any takers? I'm willing to sell for half price. worn for less than a month) for my PA. This shop called Walking Culture (http://www.walkingculture.com/index.php) is really awesome!!! I mean coz they haf big sizes for my BIG feet (up to size 10!) and their designs are not bad either. A good place to shop for corporate shoes if u wanna get any. The service staff is excellent. Makes me feel really pampered and spoilt for choice coz they jus practically took out ALL their size 9 heels and let me try them!!! Felt rather bad for making them do this (hey i din ask them, they jus kept bringing more n more!) but i mus say i was really keen on getting 2 pairs, if not one of them had some defects in the sole which can't be fixed (and they said they will not sell that shoe to me since it's spoilt). Oh well, so i got this pair instead:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Size 41. Price=S$39.90 (SO CHEAP!!!!)

I actually saw another pair that has this strap n buckle at the ankle which jus makes my legs look so sexy!! but too bad, they ran out of my size... *boohoo!~*

hah thanks Mummy for buying the shoe for me!! It's so nice to go out with Mummy to shop. To quote from the sales lady at Walking Culture, "Mothers are fashionable mobile ATMs". muahahah ;D

i'm so tired~~~~~ =(

i woke up at 8am until now and i've been out walking since 1030am..... my legs hurt, i wan Osim's iSqueeze to help me massage my calves... boohoo.... =(

went back to St. Nicks with Jie Si to take a look at the school (since i haven went back for 4 years liao!!! =X) and also to eat the cheap n good canteen food!!! haha so cheapo sia!

But to our horror, because today is the annual Track n Field Meet, none of the stalls were opened when we went except for 1 or 2 stalls which were only getting ready to sell food later in the afternoon. Dammit. I was so looking forward to eating the nice canteen food but they weren't open. Shiat.

So we ended up walking around the school, looking at the classrooms but there weren't a single soul, so it wasn't fun at all... we didn't visit the teachers coz we presumed there won't be many in the staff room since it's Sports Day. There were jus a bunch of student cheerleaders practising down at the track and honestly, I was rather disappointed that when the day I decided to come back after 4 years of hiatus, only to find not much students in school. sucked big time.

but anyhow, we hanged around in the canteen and ate some of the nice food there: there's the orange bowl kway teow soup with lots of beansprouts at $1 for a big bowl; $1.50 per plate of chicken rice and since the auntie at the stall knew us, she gave us alot of chicken meat! :P and we shared a bowl of ice jelly for $0.60 and a cup of chin chow drink. I was rather full after eating so much but Jie Si seemed unsatisfied though. But all these for like $3.10??? Gosh, i really miss secondary canteen food, really v cheap man... NTU canteen sucked big time!

after that, we had pitstop at Winne's house becoz i was still early to go town to meet Ugin. We went to her house for aircon and refreshments (i perspired the whole time while i was in St.Nicks. Bloody weather!) and catch up quite a bit but wasn't really enough (consider i love to bitch coz i'm a biatch myself. muahahahahaha ;D) and then went to Far East to meet Ugin.

Bot him a canvas material duffel-like backpack, quite unique, and we saw quite a couple of guys carried that so i got one for him. Then we went walking around, only to realise to our horror, that we shouldn't haf shopped today!!! Coz there are sure goin be lotsa cheap and good stuff in KL!!!!!!!!! Ringgit!!! CHEAP!! =P But too bad, paid already, so we were like browsing through the stuff that we wanna get in KL... so funny, anything we saw, we were like "Buy in KL, cheaper!" hah as if we're so gonna wipe out the entire Times Square lidat!! *grinz*

ok anyway, we later adjourned to M Hotel at Tanjong Pagar for dinner!!! Jus nice Ugin's mum is member of the chain of hotels which include M Hotel so we had a $50 dinner voucher at their Cafe 2000.

Ordered:
Image hosted by Photobucket.com Grilled Salmon Steak ~ $23++

and this
Image hosted by Photobucket.com Beef Tenderloin ~ $30++

for main course and a dessert Sago Gula Melaka which is actually a margarita glass of contents but cost $8++. Luckily we have the $50 voucher so the whole thing cost us only $22 in total. haha ;P

The place was not bad but Ugin said the Beef Tenderloin wasn't anything special although there's a small piece of duck liver in addition. But i tot my salmon steak was nice, prob coz i'm really hungry after walking so much... :P

Great dinner, great company... now i'm left with a pair of worn out legs and stiff back from walking too much.... shall feast on my episode 18 of Smallville to chill out...

Tomorrow's itineray: Cycling at Pulau Ubin with Mummy n Daddy!! *whee~~*

the smell of freedom has never been sweeter.

the past 1 year has been torturous. Not saying that it will get any better from now, but looking back, year 2 is really a very tough one.

I have subjects like AA201 which is all about FRSs and the NEJ textbook and doin proj on Popular. and AA202 was like all the abbreviations: REMM, EVA, PAT and stuff, all the sophisticated names and theories and a very sucky paper.

Come this sem, i have subjects like how to use controls to mitigate risks (aa205) and how to invest in a portfolio of stocks, doin business valuation and using the BAV software (aa206). For the last 3 months +, i was surrounded with figures, financial statements, objectives, risks, controls, company law section 216,157,162,339, SFA sec 218,219, BA98,99, writing persuasive letters, making presentations and such..........it was HELLUVA SEMESTER!!!!

but i also got to know a great bunch of friends like: Xinni, James, Junwei, Cindy, Sihui, Tingting, Winnie, Yueting, Bisheng, Wenting, Willie and many more.... I can't say how much i've actually enjoyed this sem in particular, but I've never been so happy doin projects with my group mates!!! hah it may sound crazy but for once, i actually dun feel the burden of doin a project!! guess we really did make fun out of it and totally enjoyed it ourselves. Wish i could be in the same class again with these bunch of people!! ;)

it's finally holidays. Ben said he will have booze for 3D3N and get himself wasted. Edwin says he has alot of menial tasks to do like getting his comp fixed. Roy has a packed schedule right up till the last day before PA. Me? Hmm, i'm still thinking but I'll only have this long weekend to spare for my family and friends coz i'm leaving for KL for 3Days until next thurs. ( I know i've repeated this umpteen times but at least let me feel like i'm very pre-occupied can??? ;)

oh and i jus found out that my PA company is only goin to pay me $540 (subjected to change by the company) and i'm working on alternate Saturdays!!! How bad can it get man??? I really can't believe this. Even the Big 4s are paying 20+ interns $650 each, what bout 3 meagre interns at a small firm in one of the shophouses in Tg Pagar??? I guess they really need to save money.... haizzzzz

and as for the appeal for lunch kah-kees a few entries back, I don't mind if you guys have a BIG heart and treat me to a few meals, coz as u see, I prob earn the lowest amount of money amongst all u peeps SO U GUYS BETTER TREAT ME!!! =P (I'm such an a**hole. wateva.)

Yeah so u know what? my strategy is I'm goin to work hard for like the first 2 weeks of PA and show them that Ms Seow Shu Jie is a hardworking-diligent-keen to learn-ugly-piece-of-shit so that their conscious pricked and may give me a raise. But i think the "3 meagre interns at a small firm in one of the shophouses in Tg Pagar" will prob give me an additional $10 kopi money only. WTF.

Oh and i wonder if u've heard that Roy's' fren went for a slimming programme and lost 20kg in 2 weeks???? *jaw drops* Yes, i've already asked him to ask his fren which slimming centre he went and how much did he pay. If it's affordable, i dun mind shedding 10kgs, that'll be enough for me. Va-va-voom!!!! Here's a little preview of how I'll eventually look like after losing 10kg:

THE ULTIMATUM

I had enough.

I'm so sick of all the revision for the past few weeks.

In another 17 hours more, all my burden will be lifted. Hallelujah.

I can't wait.

*$&^*&#%^*$&#^(%&$^$*(#&$(#&^$(#*&$(#

That is all I have to say about the paper today.

AARGH!!! i really wonder why did they set such a difficult paper, only to moderate the grades of the students later on? What's the point? It totally defeats the purpose of having an exams, to supposedly test the knowledge you've learnt for the past 3 months????? *slaps forehead*

the first time i sat for a paper and stared at the first question for half n hours, not knowing what the heck is the question talking about. yeah man, i had totally NO IDEA.

So i turned to question 2. Just as bad but this question allows me to sian some stuff out of nowhere. I panicked.

What's more, a girl behind me sudd jus walked out of the exam hall. I tot she went to the toilet, only to find that the tutor came back to pack up all her stuff and brought it out for her. I guess she totally went blank and upon seeing the paper, felt that there was no point in doing it at all.

I felt so much to walk out just like her. But i didn't.

The mere thought of having to suffer again next sem by taking this paper again simply cause me to cringe. So i jus went ahead to do the paper, not knowing what I'm writing.

for the last 10min of the paper, I stared blankly and hoped that the minute hand would jus turn faster so that it'll be 4pm soon and they can come collect this disgusting piece of paper.

Everyone was shaking their heads and moaning in disbelief when it ended.

"What the fuck is that paper!!!"

"I better keep my textbook, think i'm gonna need it next sem again."

"Die lar, sure da bao one lar.. DIEEEeeeee!!!~~"

"Wah piang eh, what kind of SHIT paper is this!!??"

And so on.

I'm still in a state of shock.

I better recover fast. I sure hope the last paper isn't as bad as this one. *cross fingers*

The new Dove Cream Shower with Collagen is not bad. Consider I'll try anything that's not too harmful for my body, in order to get firmer skin and less cellulite. It's very creamy base and has a nice subtle fragrance after u bathe. Wonder if it'll really firm up my skin after 2 weeks. (they wrote that in big words that "Individual results may vary")

Mum n Dad commented this morn that I've lost weight, all due to my 2 weeks of exam revision and my strict rule of not snacking. But i dun feel that I've lost any. Prob a few hundred gramms or so. But I'm constantly in the 'hunger' state, not that it sounds bad or wat, jus that I dun like the feeling of eating too full. It's worst than feeling hungry.

I think this is the only semester that I've managed to keep my weight down (and mabbe shed a few grams) by prohibiting myself to snack. I think it kinda worked, considering i still haf 2 packs of KitKat cubes, 3 sticks of Mentos, 1 boz of M&M Minis and other wat nots. I din touch them at all. Dun wanna my efforts come to a naught, because I've seen myself practically 'inflating' over the exam period everytime. And then after exams when I'm spp to be out shopping, I find myself having difficulties fitting into my usual sizes of clothes. Hate those kind of feeling. I think most girls would understand that.

Anyway, a change of holiday plans. Considering I won't be receiving much from my attachment, I think i shall axed the plan of taking up wakeboarding, coz that's a tad too costly to play on frequent basis. I'll forgo Amore package too, coz I think it mebbe too expensive and I'll prob won't haf the time to go during lunch breaks. But I'll still be excercising, but it'll be DIY (I hope it works, I plan to reduce at least 6 kgs by the end of the attachment. Forgot how much I'm weighing now. =X)

The rest will resume. Can't wait for my KL trip with Ugin!! Leaving on Tue early morn and coming back on Thurs evening. I'm so gonna shop at the KL Times Square mega mall!!! haha ;P Mebbe see if i can find any nice n cheap working clothes there. ;)

Any peeps who will not be working this hols *tamade* Pls kindly look for me for lunches at Tg Pagar k? I think I'll be bored to death there, and i'll need some company to bitch over lunches. ;) After work is fine with me, anyone wanna haf dinners, pub drinking, u noe my mobile, so jus punch those numbers! :P

okok, gotta go revise my 205 again, one whole morn gone lazing ard and marketing. Tataz!

Press on peeps, 4 more days and we're free birds! On our way to final year!!! WE'RE GRADUATING SOON!!!! *woohoo~~!!*

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT.

I TOTALLY DID NOTHING TODAY.

yup, i jus din feel like touching my books and so I did jus that. I watched Smallville in the morn and went out for awhile with Ugin in the afternoon and came back and continued my Smallville again.

don't tell me that I'm addicted to it, becoz seriously I'M NOT.

Really, i'm not addicted to it. It's jus that i dun feel the urge to pick up my books and i figured that if i'd forced myself to read it, i'll probably be wasting my time when all the while, my mind was somewhere else.

I guess I jus needed a break. Having been stuck to the timetable and followed thru diligently, i have no plans today until my paper. I figured I should be jus revising watever I haf and I can for these few days for the last 2 papers.

but i'm NOT STRESSED either, so don't worry. I can't believe i'm so at peace with myself for these few weeks and I guess my good Lord was with me all these while. I had no worries, no stress, I was always so happy and never felt better than any other times. Because He has been looking after me and I'm so grateful for that. Thank you my Father, lova ya so much. =)

jhui: you're not the only one slacking, so don't worry!!! ;) sometimes, I feel that slacking isn't something sinful anyway, it's prob a signal from our brain to tell us that it's time to take a rest and be concerned of other stuffs other than our books. Sometimes we'll discover interesting things too! ;)

hOi: darling, u really not working during the hols? anyway, I'll be free and I think I'll need lunch company considering I only know one guy who's doin intern at the same co as me and that was my yr 1 sem 1 classmate??? hah think will be kinda awkward too.... Mebbe u can write in to my co and see if they wanna take you too! hahah ;)

ben: i'm actually won't be free right up till the start of PA becoz I've totally packed up my meagre 1 week holiday with plans liao... hee :) But i guess i should be able to squeeze time out for my FYP mates ba. We'll arrange something ya? ;)

felt rather rotten the whole day.... duno why also, prob i din slp well coz my 'good friend' is here and i kept tossing n turning around...

stomach felt bloated and sleepy after i woke up.... but forced myself to read a chap of the book and went to bathe. Decided to jus rest and watch an episode of Smallville and went for a nap after that....

woke up and carried on for another chap, rest and read another notes for 205....

and i'm slacking since....

duno why i sudd feel so worn out, like something had sucked me dry.. ( oh yah, my 'good friend' *bleah*)

still got 2 more papers to go and they're the most 'challenging' ones.... that was jus an understatement..

i'm doin my 2nd round of revision for both modules but i'm still not too sure if i can understand those concepts... i hope I do by next tue before my 206 paper and thurs, 205 paper.

shall head back to Simons for now, seems like everyone is piahing for these 2 papers also, i shall not permit myself to be slack. Today is the last.

wat a LOOOOONNNGGG day.....

jus got back and bathed... feeling rather worn out..

got up at 8am to write a last minute summary page for my notes, in case I duno which sections I can quote for my Company Law paper... Ate bfast at 9am and was out of the house by 1030am. Met Ben at Woodlands mrt at 1110am and headed for Boon Lay. Went to Popular bookstore at JP to buy blank CD-RW coz I'm goin to kop Smallville series from Ee Sin after the paper.

ok reached school waaayy too earli and stoned at the bench inside the SRC for the door to be opened. Turns out that the Basketball court was freaking cold!!! *brrrrr~!!!* i was still trying to put on my brave front when my friends kept asking me if i were cold coz i was wearing shorts. OF COURSE I AM!!!! but too bad, it was too late, i can't do anything liao so wat the heck, jus sat for the paper. halfway through, it was starting to get a little too chilly for comfort coz the air con was blowing at MY DIRECTION!!! urgh, how bad can it get man... :( so there i was, trying my best to write out watever I could and trying to beat the coldness that was causing my teeth to rattle alittle and my goose pimples starting to come out.

Nonetheless, i was so glad that the paper ended. I managed to finish the paper but not really satisfied, felt that if i had the time I could possibly go back and check the paper to see if I missed out anything but too bad. Think at least I got finish the paper and wrote all that i could possibly think of under those conditions. Good enough. ;)

after the paper, went Ee Sin's room to burn Smallville episodes and watched Desperate Housewives at the same time. That pirate king actually downloaded almost all the series, up till the latest one which had jus been shown in the US, for Desperate Housewives, The O.C and Smallville. haha becoz he could leave his comp on for 24/7 in hall, so no prob for him. But nvm lar, since he's the 'source', i shall jus leech on him for awhile.... kekeke ;P

ok super tired now, and quite full from a late dinner. The durian that Dad bought ystd started to smell bad from the kitchen. Not that I dun wan to eat but I'm jus too full to down any more durians into my bulging stomach.... =(

shall start on my Smallville now.... TOM WELLING HERE I COME!!!! :D

jus received a call from Singtel Mobile Customer Service.

2 days ago, I wrote a short email on their website to complain on the apparent 'prejudice' on loyal subscribers, because I found out Ugin, who has also signed up the same Classic 100 plan as me, and has stuck to the plan for more than 4 years, actually receives those promotional offers and loyalty rewards but yet I don't.

Not that I'm cheapskate or wat but I always find that these offers are the minimum or the least that Singtel can do to rewards loyal subsribers like us. Competition is strife now, what with Starhub and M1 introducing so many offers and plans that are actually so much more attractive than my current one. I'm so tempted to change it sometimes, but becoz i haf accumulate some 'rewards' in terms of free 1hr talktime and such, I'd rather haf changed it long ago.

So my 'complaint' email had gotten feedback from one of their customer relations exec at Singtel and her attitude was kinda 'bochap' coz she realised that the subsriber name was not me but my mum. So i wrote back and gave her the details of my mum's name and IC number and just now, one of ther CRO called me. (talk about efficiency sia! i jus sent out the email like 9.45am??)

He reflected that perhaps Ugin's case was unique coz every now n then they'll pick a target group to send these offers (why never target me?? :P). But i said these offers are actually good in retaining customers like me (hahaha :) and the Red Rewards thingy is kinda biased to those corporate or heavy users who chalk up more than $100 of tel bills each month. He was kinda nice to say that becoz they have so many customers, they can't possibly send offers to everyone. Then i mentioned that Starhub and M1 does that, den he sounded awkward.

Good news was that, in order to 'appease' me and refrain me from spreading the negative publicity about them, he kindly offered to give me an extra free 100 sms each month for a period of 1 year!!!!! haha ok i sound cheapo, but that's better than nothing!!! By jus typing a few words, and 'sounded' like a disgruntled customer, i actually get free 100 sms!! and he commented that my bill was mainly attributed to the excessive using of sms-es. @_@

But wat the heck, i got my side of the bargain. ;P So moral of the story: Next time, dun be scared to complain because we have the rights to deserve some things that ought to be ours. I'm glad my biz comm techniques came to use in writing emails... hahaha :D

oki back to my books.....

finally finished studying for 205... but that's jus the first round. still need to read at least another time thoroughly and get those concepts right!!

Breakin' for lunch now... tho i haven't eat.. hah :P

Alot of things on mind that i wanna do when exams end!!! Haha it's always this kind of time that my brain will be 'maximised' to think of such unimportant things in the midst of revision!!! Time passes by vvv slowly when u doin revision... sighzz

ok, let me see wat's on my current list of 'Thing to Do after Exams!!!!":

1. Read books!!! hah :P Some of the books that i wan to read are: Harry Potter 6, Rick Warren's A Purpose Driven Life and my book of Bible stories!!! i only read like halfway before this sem started and i jus let it collect dust until now!!! :(

2. Sign up for the Power Package at Amore to learn kickboxing!!!! hah if nothing changes, i should be having my PA at Tanjong Pagar area, which is like 100m walking distance from the mrt. And Amore is jus at The Amara which is also very near! so i plan to learn during lunch time hours so i can eat less during those days as well!! hah :P

3. Learn wakeboarding w Ugin. OK i initially wanted to take up ballroom dancing because I wan to try something different, but this needs a partner ( i don't wan to get paired up with strangers because it'll be pretty awkward). But Ugin not interested, so oh well, haf to settle for wakeboarding then, since i can learn it Punggol Sea Sports Club which is near my house!! haha :P

4. Diving at Pulau Perhentian!!! This was what i had planned last year so i die die also mus go!!! so long nv go under the sea liao, wonder how are my fishy frens and coral pals doin... *hiakz*

woohoo! looks like it's goin to be a very fulfilling holidays! Now i mus jus pray that my PA company will give me 'good' monies to finance these activities!!! :P

time for lunch! :D

WOW!!!!!!! the latest season of Smallville is jus awesome!!!!! super!!!!! hahah :D

lucky Ugin reminded me that tonight got the latest season of Smallville, else I would haf missed it liao... hah ;P Kinda forget wat exactly happened since last season coz it stopped airing think since last Sept or something... And they changed the time slot to Fridays, 8.30pm, which is much earlier than the usual time of 10pm!!!! Now i got excuse to go for study break liao!!! wheeee~~~

haha, now my favourite tv shows on Ch 5 would be Desperate Housewives on Mondays, and Smallville on Fridays!!! I caught the 2nd episode of The O.C, but nah, i still think the story of The O.C is jus about sex and love and the relationships intricacies and stuff... too shallow liao... :P Desperate Housewives at least has that dark humor inside and i lurrrvee to see those catfights amongst the women!! haha :P And not to forget, the latest Smallville has the ever-dashing Tom Welling aka Clark Kent, and the new Lois Lance, played by this new actress, Erica Durance. Think she's not bad lar, in terms of look, but guess I've seen more of Lana and Clark together so I would prefer the latter couple.... :P and Ben commented that Lois's boobs are BIGBIGBIG!!! (yesh! he used these exact same words! :P) (*Note: Ben has 'chastised' me for downplaying him so i shall attempt to 'restore' his image by saying "He's actually a NICE person" Really. :P)

ok, back to my books again..... tho i'm getting a bit sian but no choice, next Fri is my first paper!!!!!!!! *roars*

yeah! finally all the quizzes and projects are all over!!! No more goin to school!!!! :P

It's officially study break now, tho I've already started since last week but still think I could have started even earlier if not for all the late deadlines for reports and project presentations....

This sem is one which is really interesting, albeit toughest so far, coz of the stupid 205 n 206 module that's killing almost everyone... But I've also learnt alot (really!!) and made some really good pals this semester like Xinni, Cindy, James and others.... Really enjoyed myself this sem, think without this bunch of people sharing the woes with me, I can really break down liao man...

and come to think of it, I'm glad that although my grp mates were assigned by the tutors, I could actually get efficient bunch of people that are thinking in the same frequency as me. I heard of my other friends who are lamenting that they have irresponsible and free-riders in their group and it's really tough doin projects with them. Thank God, i really din encounter such probs... ;)

Think it's quite nice to know other people other than my usual clique of friends, coz I'll be able to learn more from others and get to know more about myself too! :P Hopefully next sem will be as interesting as this one, and I'll get to know more fun people too!! Actually I hope i can get back the class with the ppl from this sem coz I think they're the ultimate liao... haha ;)

gonna really go into FULL SWING for revision as of now... But not to forget my daily doses of television series on SCV!!! actually it's really not a bad thing to be watching tv amidst revising for exams u noe... coz I find that I acutally can be more focused and it takes my mind for a rest and I can concentrate better after each break!! And I really dun feel any stress this sem for the coming exams... Prob because I'm putting in God's hands.... I jus hafta concentrate on my part and He'll do the rest!!

Jia you pals!!! Let's all meet up after exams to shop for PA clothes!! *wheeee~~*

*yawnzz*

woke up at 5.30am today to get ready to reach sch at 8am... had 205 iCEE presentation and my grp mates wan to rehearse before the actual thing.

but i realised we din relly rehearse at all but just went early to set our minds at ease... ended up the first speaker was too nervous and she delayed more than she was expected to speak... and I had to rush through my part becoz we were only left 10min when there were still 2 more speakers after me....In the end, we over shot by about 10min even though the stipulated presentation time was 20min only.. But well, it's over now!!! :)

and a piece of good news was that for that module, our iCEE report gotten an A!!!!! *applause* yeah!!! all our efforts have paid off man.. had meetings every week and goin down to the company for site visits and such... it's all worth it!! great job babes! i think we're really awesom! let's all give ourselves a pat on the back! ;)

ok after that went for marketing tutorial... finished goin thru the last tutorial and he gave us some pointers about how to approach the exam papers and give us a quick run of some past yr exam qns.... then he announced to the class each and everyone's grade for individual, case study and project presentation... and i got A, B, B!!!! another round of applause please!! hah ;P only 3 persons gotten an A for individual participation, me, another girl and James... he kept saying partly becoz i was having the same surname as him so like 'relative' so mus give good grades.. but he think he's jus joking la... i really like marketing one, (not becoz i got an A den i say this k...=P) wanted to major in Bus (Mktg) but many of my friends n family said that this degree is too general liao... can take as post grad or wat in future so i chose Acctcy in the end. But not too bad tho, i enjoyed doin the marketing projects and case study and i find it a joy to read the textbook also! (dun say i bian4 tai4, but i really like this subject k! :D)

ok 'nuff said.. oh special mention here: Thanks to tif for the cute birthday card sent from Down Under, love it loads man!! *muacks*

okok i better rush my Biz Comm writing post-test assignment liao... gotta hand it tom by 1pm!!! *shudders*

wat an eventful day... considering i'm experiencing crunch time becoz exams are coming, today's line of events are really the last ones (excluding next tue's anniversary celebration ;P) until exams are over... hee :)

ok woke up like 7am in the morn to get ready to go Suntec to support Ben and James at the iCEE award thingy.... lucky them got selected by our tutor to participate in this award thingy so all the more mus go support them lar! and me and ed purposely bluff Ben that we're not gg so to give him a surprise... hah boy was he really surprised!!! (I hope! :P)

ok the presentations by the 4 groups were pretty ok, was only listening to Ben n James group coz they were the first but the last group by Stephanie and friends were not bad either... we were saying that it's either these 2 who would vie for the top award...

Well, the 4th group won the KPMG award but they deserved it also lar, coz overall, their performance was consistent and in terms of presentation, theirs were slightly better than Ben n James... but that's not to say B&J were not good k... theirs were also v precise, so much better than mine, now that i've realised... ;P Kudos to them and their other 2 team mates, think I'm really proud to know classmates like them!!

ok after that, hanged around at Suntec to wait for Ben to finish his business lunch with the KPMG partners.. too bad we small fry were not invited *boohoo!!* but nonetheless, after that Ben promised to give us a treat at Wisma's Coffee Club Xpress...

and then had to help Mummy queue to get her hp serviced at Wisma's Sony Ericsson's service centre... I finally realised wat is 'long queue'. They have 6 counters but only 3 of them haf service staff attend to the customers. and there were almost 20 customers sitting/standing inside/outside the service centre waiting for their numbers to be called.... AND the thing is, their computer systems are really cocked up!!!! urgh, i saw that it was from Accord, think is that company that was in the news becoz Nokia did not extend their contract with them causing them to lose a big sum of revenues or sth lidat.... no wonder la, their comp systems are so unstable and cocked up that's y Nokia dun wan to partner them anymore! pui!

ok after that we came down to the 3rd floor and i saw this nice white denim-like skirt at Esprit and ask mummy to buy for me... den after that saw another nice blue shorts also... hah Mummy asked me to go try both and both of them fitted well on me!!! hah and Mummy gladly paid for them!!! woohoo!!! hah so long nv shop w her liao so she said after helping her to 'save' from shopping these few months, it's ok that she buy me that 2 pcs of bottom!!! hah :P

after that met up with Daddy and we went to eat at Maxwell Food market... wah that plc relly have loads of nice food man.. luckily my PA is jus ard that corner so i can always eat cheap n good food everyday! den can save more money also! hiakz! ;)

went to recee my PA workplace also... from the add and street directory, is some kind of shophouse office near Tanjong Pagar mrt... so we went to check it out and see how SMALL it is... but when we went to that plc, that particular unit, there weren't any signage at the walkway to indicate that there's the public accounting firm upstairs or sth... I begin to wonder if they've shifted elsewhere but did not update the school about it... hmmm hopefully they're still there, jus that they can't afford the signage?????? =/

after being outside for more than 12 hours... i'm totally exhausted... din do much reading too altho i brought them along with the thought of studying in Suntec.. but i was wrong, a noisy place and esp Macs is actually NOT conducive for studying at all!! wonder y so many ppl still flock to Macs to study tog... think they jus wan the company ba. *bleah*

ok time to zzz, super tired... more readings tom!!! =/
