jus received a call from Singtel Mobile Customer Service.
2 days ago, I wrote a short email on their website to complain on the apparent 'prejudice' on loyal subscribers, because I found out Ugin, who has also signed up the same Classic 100 plan as me, and has stuck to the plan for more than 4 years, actually receives those promotional offers and loyalty rewards but yet I don't.
Not that I'm cheapskate or wat but I always find that these offers are the minimum or the least that Singtel can do to rewards loyal subsribers like us. Competition is strife now, what with Starhub and M1 introducing so many offers and plans that are actually so much more attractive than my current one. I'm so tempted to change it sometimes, but becoz i haf accumulate some 'rewards' in terms of free 1hr talktime and such, I'd rather haf changed it long ago.
So my 'complaint' email had gotten feedback from one of their customer relations exec at Singtel and her attitude was kinda 'bochap' coz she realised that the subsriber name was not me but my mum. So i wrote back and gave her the details of my mum's name and IC number and just now, one of ther CRO called me. (talk about efficiency sia! i jus sent out the email like 9.45am??)
He reflected that perhaps Ugin's case was unique coz every now n then they'll pick a target group to send these offers (why never target me?? :P). But i said these offers are actually good in retaining customers like me (hahaha :) and the Red Rewards thingy is kinda biased to those corporate or heavy users who chalk up more than $100 of tel bills each month. He was kinda nice to say that becoz they have so many customers, they can't possibly send offers to everyone. Then i mentioned that Starhub and M1 does that, den he sounded awkward.
Good news was that, in order to 'appease' me and refrain me from spreading the negative publicity about them, he kindly offered to give me an extra free 100 sms each month for a period of 1 year!!!!! haha ok i sound cheapo, but that's better than nothing!!! By jus typing a few words, and 'sounded' like a disgruntled customer, i actually get free 100 sms!! and he commented that my bill was mainly attributed to the excessive using of sms-es. @_@
But wat the heck, i got my side of the bargain. ;P So moral of the story: Next time, dun be scared to complain because we have the rights to deserve some things that ought to be ours. I'm glad my biz comm techniques came to use in writing emails... hahaha :D
oki back to my books.....
