verse of the day

Sunday, November 21, 2004 @ 9:23 pm

went for a day dive today at Pulau Hantu, one of those islands off Southern Singapore.

left the house at 8am and reached Harbourfront at around 8.50 to meet up with Ugin. Den we waited for the instructor to pick us up to go to Keppel Marina where the boat is.

there were other divers around, there's a family with 2 young daughters, 1 couple and 2 girls. they looked pretty amateur (not like i'm very pro hee ;P) but as me and Ugin were the only 2 advanced divers (other than the instructor and Dive Master), so i felt q pro when were gearing up our equipment and preparing to make the plunge. :)

a bit of a prob descending coz i was too buoyant so struggled for a couple of min, gotten another piece of weight before i managed to sink down. hee :P

the visilbility underneath wasn't good, at most 5m depth and mostly silt and sandy bottom. Din expect to see much tho i've heard some divers who went there actually saw pink dolphins and other rare beautiful species. Obviously, we weren't that lucky. ( else the start of my blog wud have been loads of !!!! marks. heh)

anywayz, we were down for 45min only managed to see a starfish and a nudibranch. other than that, i can see ppl's spit hanging in the water and those microorgs which u dun bother specify them. hahah :) had alot of pee in me so i made use of the au naturel toilette to help me :P (dun say yuck, there's no other way to 'unload' cept dis ;P)

we did only 2 dives before we end of the day and headed back to the marina.

O'all it was the trip was merely jus to refresh my diving skills coz according to Ugin, we were suppose to dive like every 3-6 months so that we won't forget those basic diving techniques. :)

now i'm more keen on my pending Perhentian trip coming soon in June/July 2005. Can't wait man, it's gonna be 100x more beautiful den today and will haf our other diving friends who are coming on this free n easy trip.
