tiredddd

I'm soooo tired that I crashed till 3pm when I reached back at 7. The flight was disruptive, with a male passenger kept going in and out and I had to get out of my aisle seat for him. :(:(:(:(
Plus the passenger behind me asked me not to recline my seat to the max, hence a very awkward position which resulted in only 1hrs of good sleep. *BAH*
The past 2 weeks have been a very eventful one, with all the catch-ups with friends and family, hoi's wedding and my own preparations, it didn't quite feel like a holiday to me :/ Wished I had more time back home to rest and relax.
On another note, i'm happy that I get to meet most of the people I've planned to meet (quite according to the schedule and checklist I've prepared beforehand) and all the things I've set out to do were done or set in motion (and also something BIG that came as a huge surprise)
Thank God for keeping me going even though I can literally fell asleep many a times outside but He knows that I want to spend more quality time with my family and friends.
Now I can't wait for Dec to come where I'll be back home for Christmas and NY and a very special event in Jan :):):):):):)
out.

andrea's whirlwind brisbane visit
andrea and bf touched down on Thurs night in Brissy-land!! :DHuixin and I picked them up from the airport and we drove to Teneriffe for a quick dinner (shops were closing soon) before heading back home.
It was so good to see her! Poor girl had worked so hard during peak, so now she deserves a well-earned holiday :)
Since they were driving up to Sunshine Coast this morning, there's only that much time left to tour Brisbane itself (not like there's alot to see!) so I brought them to West End for nice Aussie breakfast to start off the day.
We slept in as we were so tired so we missed the kitchen closing time at Gunshop! Thankfully Espresso Heads had all-day breakfast so we were satiated with big portions of scrambled eggs, toast, sausages, pancakes and a nice hot cuppa ;)

I know the pair loves to take photos so I brought them to the Mount Coot-tha botanical gardens. It was my first trip there too but I really like it! Thank God the weather was wonderful so we managed to take pretty flower shots!

And then it was the lookout at Mount Coot-tha, where you can oversee the entire landscape of Brisbane - it's always good to bring friends there because it's a one-stop-see-all for Brisbane! HAH

We came back down to the city to do some shopping before heading off to Southbank Parklands for the night markets.
We saw a stall that sells printed skirts that has up to 100 ways of wearing it! We were honestly intrigued by the sales lady when she demonstrated on Andrea and so she bought one! haha I guess now she has to practice with the DVD before she goes out of the house :P
Huixin came to join us after that for desserts at Freestyle @ Emporium. I've always wanted to try but the queue is always very long! Thankfully we got there before 830pm (when we left the queue was snaking around the place!) and enjoyed our desserts very much!

And so it concludes Andrea and Justin's whirlwind 1-day Brisbane visit. They're at Sunshine Coast for the weekend and then flying off to Whitsundays! Enjoy yourself girl! I'm sure you'll love the sandy white beaches and I'll pray hard for great weather too! :D
On another note - exactly 1 week later i'll be HOME!!!!! YAY!!!!!

the weekend without eug
and i SURVIVED!! tee hee :DI thought i'll miss him alot but actually it's not that hard, thanks to my dearest housemate Joanne and other great pals :)
Sat morning we got up real early to send the boys to the airport and had planned to go to DFO for shopping but it was way too early.
So i decided to go to Portside Wharf for some nice breakkie and coffee! The weather was superb, sunny yet cooling - i love having coffee in quaint/cosy coffee shops that just smell so good with all the coffee aroma, chatters of the coffee shop patrons and just sipping a good hot cuppa of nicely brewed latte is enough to keep me going the whole day :)
after our nice toast and coffee, we went to browse the shops and found a nice one which sells candles, pouches, cushions, clothes and other knick knacks! Both of us bought a little pouch and it was really worth it!
then it was yum cha at Landmark with Douglas, Zoe, Christy and her fellow colleague Nigella, an Iranian lady. She has a really cool hairstyle, short and blonde but it totally accentuated her facial features! don't think i can do that coz my face is TOO BIG!
I miss having dim sums and those at Landmark was really good! Their best were the super crusty egg tarts that just made you go "ooh, ahh, umm" about and Nigella ate 4 of them by herself! haha i should buy back home if I can!
After that, i went for facial (needed it before I go back to SG for hoi's wedding!) and i promptly fell asleep when I lie on the bed (not with 15min of agonizing extraction from my blackhead-infested face!!)
View outside my beautician's house
Nice clouds!
By the time we reached home after some grocery shopping, it was almost 6pm and I just spent the rest of the night reading my book and watching DVDs.
So I did it!! I survived a weekend without Eug and I think I can do it till Thurs nite when Andrea and her bf Justin arrives!!
