goodbye

Goodbye....

It wasn't easy to hand in THE letter. I could feel myself breathing heavily when I was walking to the Partner's room. But he wasn't in. *sigh of relief*

And then it was all the admin matters blah blah blah....

And then some of them saw Retain (actually there was only 1 MZD).

And then, I spent some time penning my thought on farewell emails to my fellow managers, colleagues and finally to our Run.

And then, all of a sudden, I feel empty.

It's not easy leaving somewhere which you've felt so comfortable, surrounded by all your close pals. I can still remember those days when I finally return back to office, the oh-so-familiar smell on the 14th floor, the people that greeted me behind the door, the extension numbers which became our Run's Hotline to report strength for lunches and Friday dinners. :(

There are so many memories on the 14th floor, that we even came out a video during last D&D "Who Moved my Muffin on the 14th floor", depicting lives of an average auditor.

And then those drinking sessions, hanging out sessions. I dun feel sorry for the hole in my pocket (sometimes heartache la :P) because I've got priceless company of my dearest pals who laughed, joked, sing KTV with.

And then the bunch of girlies which I've grown closer too. I always thought that it will be difficult to have really close friends, that can share your happiness, worries and secrets with, at work. But I did. I was used to be around guys (coz my Uni buddies are males. don't ask me why) and then suddenly, I found back those wonderful girly times and hang out gossip sessions that I sorely missed. (and I will miss them the MOST :(:(:(

I cannot bear to think of the day I leave my home because I think I will cry like nobody's business.

Someone asked if our friendship will change when I'm away. Although I fear at the thought of it, I can be sure that God has sent the angels to guide me through my life, and when it's time, my angels will give me the wings of encouragement, to be strong even when I'm without them.

So my dear angel friends, no matter where I am, and how far we're separated, you WILL definitely be missed, loved, thought of and talked about. :)

I love all of you. Thanks for the memories we've shared. :)

how to be a tai-tai :P

well for those aiming to be a tai-tai in the near future, this is what you should do:

1st step: Have brunch at an atas place (not kopitiam, not Macs) with a bunch of fellow tai-tais

Places like Cedele Depot (the one at Wheelock Place serves great scenery too!) offers really yummy breakfast that gives you a run for your moolah :P

Other recommendations: The Pantry @ Loewen Gardends; House @ Dempsey; Coffee Club Express @ Ngee Ann City :P

2nd step: SHOPPING!!! How can tai-tais not shop?? This is their 2nd nature and their STRENGTH! But smart tai-tais stretch every dollar for every purchase.

Tips: Accumulate points on your husband's credit card and redeem vouchers! *hahahaha*


3rd step: After hours of shopping, you need to recharge by going for High Tea!


Favourites: Canele @ Paragon (atas shopping mall); Marmalade Pantry; various hi-tea buffets at Hotels (Hilton's Mezza9; Goodwood Park English high-tea etc)

4th step: A tai-tai can never be a full fledged one without the Tai-Tai Support Group! Lifetime membership, Priceless Enjoyment :D:D

everybody says Kungfu Fighting!!

I can't recall this is the Nth movie I've watched in the past few weeks already. Honestly, there isn't much stuff to do in Singapore except shopping, eating and watching movies. :/

Then again, thanks to the school holidays, there are indeed some really funny movies and blockbusters coming up which I think is pretty worth the steep movie ticket we're paying.

I'm not really into kiddo movies, but this has really gotten me into fits of laughters throughout the 93min movie.

I love Jack Black's voiceover and how the Westerners can actually meticulously portray the essence of Chinese kungfu and our culture in the movie that got me so proud that I'm part of this age long heritage.

It's really worth watching for some good laughter on a weekday after work! ;)

Redang (again) :P

yes yes yes, we were back at Redang for diving yet again!

It's really nice to go back to friends we've made from our trip last year and they still remembered us!

I had a good feeling that this trip will be a very relaxing one and I was right! All the dives were really great, perfected my buoyancy, hunted for new macro life underwater and I din feel tired easily as well. :)

I love to dive with my best dive buddy, MB, coz he's always able to point out to me very interesting things to keep a lookout for. Too bad the sotong boy forgot to bring his camera handle coz he wasn't able to take any pix underwater! Thanks to my trusty handy Olympus, we managed to bring some memories back to shore ;)

Sex And The City

Meant to watch it with my favourite girls, but ms TY and XP went to watch it when they're on leave already! :/

So I had to drag MB along to watch it with me, whom half way, was complaining why the movie was so long?!?!

Very long meh, ok lar, it was one of the longest one we've watched (even longer than Indiana Jones), but I totally enjoyed every minute of it!

First, I wasn't really catching up with the series when it was showing on HBO. I only roughly knew about the characters since it was such a HIT back then.

Nevertheless, I love movies that talk about women topics: love, relationships, fashion etc. It's really interesting to see them decking out in designer dresses (esp LOVE those wedding gowns that Carrie tried on for the Vogue photoshoot) and how her bunch of gal pals really stick it out together, holding out for each other.

It really is a girly movie, but I'm eager to catch the TV series from season 1 onwards! Anyone has the DVD??? :P
