Japan 2008 - Disneyland!!!
Thursday, April 24, 2008 @ 10:57 pm
When we finally turned into the carpark of Tokyo Disneyland, I was so excited that I almost forgotten to breathe :D
It was really a childhood's dream come true! I've always wanted to visit Disneyland and after 24 years, I'm finally HERE!!! *skips around* hohohoho :D

Everything was so beautiful inside! The staff, the buildings, food, drinks and the rides!! I did homework with the Disneyland map that our tour guide gave us the night before and we waited no time to start!
It was only 9am in the morning, but there were already bus loads of high school kids and families.
We began in clockwise direction starting from World Bazaar. Gor reminded me umpteen times to get the Mickey cufflinks for him, so we headed on to Harrington Jewellery first.
I was completely lost inside, coz there were so many pretty accessories there! All the hair accessories, necklaces and earrings really dazzled me! In the end, all 3 of us spent almost S$300 there! And it's only the first shop! :P
Next up, Adventure Land. Recommended rides were the Pirates of The Caribbean (which was super duper cool!) and Jungle Cruise! I was obviously in trigger happy mood and began snapping away! :P

The Jungle Cruise was the first one we went on coz we saw a small queue forming. It was like a safari cruise on a boat and the tour guide was very good in engaging us with her animated introduction albeit was in Japanese and no one could understand :P The animals really looked real, esp the crocodiles!

Next was Western Land. This was more of the cowboys stuff and all the old Western films. We boarded the Big Thunder Mountain which was actually a mini rollercoaster (minus the crazy loops). Not bad at all :P (Basically everything is FUN to me! hahah)
I got to take photos with Woody's (From Toy Story) girlfriend too! (Forgot her name :P)We went on to Critter Country which was much smaller scale than the previous two. But there was the wild and wet Splash Mountain, which luckily there was a family of 4 in front of us to block the splashes as we plunge down into the pool. :P
Fantasyland was much better because there were Peter Pan, Snow White, Mickey, Pinnochio, Dumbo and Pooh! All my favourite childhood cartoon characters! :P
We went onto Peter Pan's Flight. Nothing much except that we are flying inside the ride with Peter Pan and see his adventure with Wendy, Twinkle and Captain Hook. While we were waiting, I noticed that most Japanese families are very young! The mummys look like early to mid 20s and their babies/toddlers are super duper adorable! Marshmallow like cheeks and soft black/brown hair. Feel like squeezing them! :P

There is also the famous Disney Castle here!!! It's so magical even in the day.

How can I miss NOT sitting on the Carousel?? I'm in fantasy land...*swoons*

Then it's SHOPPING again! We went into Pooh Corner, where u find all kinds of Pooh and Friends merchandises available! I literally wanted to grab everything on the shelves!!

About 2pm, we started to see people sitting down neatly on the 2 sides of the road. That's because the PARADE will be starting real soon!!! So we got ourselves a bucket of popcorn and sat down like the rest, eagerly waiting for the show to start.
And I began to take some snapshots of Japanese kids! :P

Parade started around 2.45pm and I was so glad that we managed to get good seats!
(Click on pic for bigger view)The parade was awesome! All the crew was so dedicated and they were genuinely enjoying themselves throughout the show, bringing so much fun and laughter to the audience. My favourite was Stitch, Pochahontas, Mickey and Tigger!
Last stop (it was almost 3+pm), we went to Tomorrowland, where all the high-tech Disney movies were made such as Star Wars, Toy Story (Buzz Lightyear) etc. We went on Space Mountain and Astro Blasters, of which the former really got my Mum nausea after our burger lunch coz the ride was really rocky and had alot of sharp turns in the dark abyss which was seriously, quite exciting!
I'm so thankful that I had Daddy and Mummy to accompany me the whole day, went on so many different rides and walking from one shop into another. They were really patient and game to try all kinds of stuff! Yippee to them!
My loot! See how happy and satisfied I am :P
Mum and Dad were very satisfied too! :P

Goodbye Mickey and friends, I'll visit your other friends in US soon! ;)
I'm so happy that my Tokyo trip ended with a bang! at Disneyland. Definitely memorable and worth reminiscing everytime I see these photos. I miss Tokyo already.. :(
Boohoo... how time flies~~~ It's time to pack our bags and return to Singaland :(:(:( It was a very fun and enjoyable family bonding time with my parents: visiting temples and Universal Studio on day 1, seeings loads of cherry blossoms on day 2, hotspring bath and eating 'black egg' on day 3 and going up Mt Fuji (1st station) and touring Tokyo Bay on day 4. I'm truly BLESSED :)
This has got to be the BEST holiday so far!!! I love holidays... gimme some MORE!!! :P:P:P
