sore neck....
urgh, i got sore neck from writing furiously non-stop for 2.5 hours during Strat Mgmt exam ystd.to think the paper was kinda crappy AND sucky. KNN.
and i wasn't feeling my best ystd too.
got up at 7am and I was feeling as if my head was on the floor or sumthing. Whole body was pinned to the bed and i snoozed like 3-4 times before i finally 'peeled' myself and get up.
Rushed to the bus stop and 161 came like a couple of minutes later.
BUT, it was darn packed with people and I jus watched helplessly as the bus zoom past.
I was running late and called home for help. Luckily Kor jus left the house, so I called him to pick me up and send me to whichever mrt it was near his office.
But the feeling of grogginess din go away.
When i reach NY Audi, i still feel abit funny.. Din talk to anyone altho I saw a couple of familiar faces.
When the doors were opened, i jus went straight to my seat and plastered myself there.
Time check: 9.30am and I just began to write as if there's no tomorrow.
I felt like there was an angel and devil beside me while i was sitting for the paper.
Devil was telling me that I shud just give up and walk away because the neck is pain and the paper is crap.
I looked up and there Angel told me I should just hang in there, because I seriously dun wan to repeat another sem for this bloody subject.
So there I was, struggling with 2 intangible figures in my brain, while my finger was scribbling hard on the paper.
My throat was unusually dry and I had to pause to drink a few mouths of water before I could continue.
Maybe it's karma. Punishment for being so slack and watching Grey's everyday. For going out every weekend and for studying too much.
I'm having a SERIOUS case of sore neck. Someone pass me that damn plaster.

hidden gems...
been hooked up to Grey's Anatomy and thus I went to search for some of the nice songs that appeared on the episodes. Some of the singers are not mainstream kinds, but yet their songs are comparable chart-hitters like those of Dido, Sarah MacLachlan and such.. :)
Came across a Welsh songstress, Jem, and her songs are really soothing and meaningful. Some like Just a Ride, Wish I, They are all very simple yet thought-provoking songs....

Another one is Anna Nalick. This talented 22 year old Californian, is really young for her age to be able to write songs that were really soothing and inspiring. Songs like Breathe and Wreck of the Day has very nice music composition, while it may be sad for some of them, but sometimes we jus need a song that speaks about all our emotions....

Grey's Anatomy
i'm MADLY in love with this series now...ok i noe i'm abit late to watch it now, considering it's already in its 2nd Season on Ch 5 here.
but SERIOUSLY, it's a GREAT, BRILLIANT SHOW.
trust me, i never got myself laughing and tearing over 40minutes of the show, and after which, I jus found myself wanting to be a surgeon.
Yes, it's that ENTERTAINING. Besides, it's not jus about the medical part, nor the relationship part, it's more about the little stories of the patients that they face each day that makes the whole drama really worth watching.
The music is great, the quotes are fantastic and the script is ABSOLUTELY WITTY!
With such eye-candy as the main cast, you REALLY can't miss Grey's Anatomy..
Watch it, coz you'll never regret it ;)
Afterthoughts: Your loved one has a brain tumour that is situated right in the middle of the brain. If it was surgically removed, he would have memory loss and even forget who he is, BUT he could live 5-10 years longer. Alternatively, he could undergo some other therapy that is slow, would not cause a loss of memory BUT he can only live 3-5 years longer.
Would you want him to forget about you and the memories you two have, but u can see him alive for another 10 years? Or would you rather he remembers you, and spend 5 'good' years together? Which would you choose?

sth on mind....
jus read Roy's blog, and his entry has set me wondering about sth that has been on mind all this while....
Well, altho I've accepted PwC's offer to become Auditor come September, I'm still looking out for other jobs that may have better prospects than this one.
I'm not saying being an auditor has no future prospects, but seriously, who doesn't wan to get more job offers so that we can compare and choose one that has higher pay and better future prospects?
not like my results are darn good, i'm still wondering if i can secure my 2nd uppers as of now. :/
but then again, i always have the mindset to just try for any kinds of openings there are.
i've sent applications for HSBC-HK, Citibank's Global Consumer Banking MA prog, General Electric and others...
but u noe the results, NIL reply so far... :S
why I guess i can understand why i'm not selected, coz without being on Dean's List with fantastic results nor do I have outstanding CCA involvement, it's q hard to actually believe i would get an interview opportunity frm any of this big firms.
was discussing with Liu BiBi the other day, and what he said was quite true: Either we quit from auditing in the first 1-2 years of our job, or we dun quit until we are in the managerial level, coz then we'll have 'higher value-add' and perhaps we'll stand better chance to venture to other corps.
i told myself, i would def slog it out for the first 3 years, and then decide what will be the next path i should take. If i'm happy with auditing, i'll take CPA and prob apply to go UK to study under PwC's sponsorship and be bonded for the next 5 years thereafter. Afterall, i'm only 30, at the end of the whole thing, still young..
but then again, if I really don't like auditing, I guess i'll quit and find another job after 1 or 2 years. BUT, wat other jobs can I find?
Most of the companies are rather 'narrow-minded' in the sense that, when they see that you have accounting background, they will normally put u in their finance/operations/controls dept, and there is very LITTLE chance that you may be transferred to other depts like HR, marketing, financial analysts and such....
so my degree is kinda a bane and a boon for me.. but well, I chose to study this and i'm alr graduating soon, so i can't do anything much now.
i've considered taking another degree, the new B.Bus in Tourism and Hospitality Mgmt in NTU, BUT, i alr have probs paying off my study loan (i NEED to pay back 1K each month for the first year if i wan to avoid the bank interests), and my parents have worked too hard for so many years, putting me through to Uni, i really dun wan to use their money anymore...
well, i guess, there's nothing ELSE i could do now, cept to study hard for my final 2 modules and hopefully get all As so I can at least guarantee to graduate with a good honours...

anw, was slacking during the weekends, watching animes on my laptop and going out for dinner and to the temple coz of Qing Ming.
Revision has REALLY started for me since ystd, phew! I was starting to get disgusted at myself for not studying, luckily, my mind won the latent inertia in me!! heee :D
Jus wanna say GOOD LUCK to all my pals who are mugging for their upcoming papers!! Jiayou people, it's REALLY the last leg of the race le! *woohoo!!~*

we're 3!!
a cosy afternoon spent with MB, celebrating our 3rd anniversary together! *pompom*
we decided to go back to Curry Favor @ Stamford House to try their Student promo this time. But in the end, their Lunch Special was more value-for-money :P

MB ordered Ron Katsu Curry, which is pork cutlet with their delicious curry..
Mine was Spicy Pork Don... loads of chilli padi sia, eat until i perspire like mad.. :S
MB took me inside Stamford House, just before the security guard came and warn us we're not spp to take photos... bleah.. but it's a nice artistic shot tho :P

It was really a full lunch.. I would suggest those who wans to try their food, unless you're vvvv hungry (hasn't eaten since the previous night), you might want to share a main course with a fren coz their serving is rather big for 1 person. Nonetheless, it's good for the money :)
After lunch, we walked around, got a present for Ben and Jiesi and also Sin's 100pcs of CD-R (super heavy!!)
