sunday with my old man
after a shopping spree for 2 consecutive days, I've got abit of a 'hangover' today and decided to stay at home and accompany my old man :)was up only ard 9-ish and went for breakfast as usual and did some marketing... there's a new Video Ezy shop at my house there and I was getting q excited to see so many latest DVDs for rental.. So i rented Batman Begins and Star Wars-Revenge of the Sith to watch... Dun ask me why i watched these because seriously, they're not my kind of movie cept for Batman... I had watched most of the shows on cinema w MB that Dad had wanted to watch, so I could only borrow these 'manly' ones to suit his taste :P
Dad cooked us a plateful of char kway teow, one of his specialty dishes, other than his homemade soya bean. It's really tasty altho I can't really agree with how he go about cooking it.. Didn't want to interrupt him when he's frying happily away so I jus stood beside like those kitchen helper lidat.. but hey, it was reallly DELICIOUS!! Not bad for this attempt since he hasn't really touched the wok for a very long time... check out the pic! :)
(Pic is abit blurry but that doesn't discount the fact that it was really delicious!! shall my Dad to try other dishes some time! :)
a small flu bug caught me by surprise in the afternoon and after a small yellow tablet, I was drifting in and out of sleep as I watched boh-liao taiwanese variety shows on the tv... But i promised Dad that I'll whip up a 2-course dinner for him so I managed to drag myself out of bed after a 45-min nap...
Menu for the day was a steam fish (this is the easiest lar) and fried kangkong w chilli padi :) Ooh i mus say, my cooking skills are improving man.. The time I took to prepare for dinner gradually shortens and dinner was ready by 7pm, our usual mealtime... :) Oh i love my kangkong, tasty and spicy, jus like the way my Mum cooks... :)
anyway, time to zzz.. tomorrow is a long day for me.. and i haf to wear formal and covered heels some more... *sianz* mus arm myself w loads of plasters!! nitez~~

EXAMS OVER!!!! *roar*~~
woohoo!!! Exams are FINALLY over!!! ;Pit was a chilly morning and I almost didn't want to wake up but the stupid thunder was jus so bright that it jolted me out of my bed. it was drizzling when i left the house and left for school and when I reached Gombak to hitch a ride frm MB, it had become heavy drizzle already.
today's paper was easy, or rather chicken feet. Not trying to be complacent here, but i think it's really easy especially if you read thru the lecturer's notes coz most of the MCQ questions were from there. God bless me for having great memory, i managed to remember everything I've studied ystd and breezed thru the paper. Finished in 45min time but had to wait for 1 hour to pass before we could leave. I wasn't the only one man, alot of people had alr finished the paper and can't wait to leave. :P
after sch, we drove to town to catch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I was really excited when I saw the trailer and expected to be one which is exciting and dark because of the Triwizard Tournament and Voldermort first appearance in this installation. But much to my disappointment, the movie was like any commercial film.. i admit the effects were good but it seemed that they edited the film to be rather hasty.. nothing much was said to develop Harry's character and suddednly Hermione become so gu-niang-ish, unlike the know-it-all smart alec she was. And Ron was like a big 'vase', second to Cho Chang (she's not chio lor!!) and Fleur Delacour. And from the poster I thot Viktor Krum was some tall, well built fellow, but he's like so stout in the movie! bah! Mebbe the paper version of GOF was the thickest JK Rowling wrote and has the most details because of the tournament, i think it's really impossible to squeeze everything into the 150min movie. Sorry for the spoilers, mebbe u guys wud enjoy it, but I think i'll stick to the book version :)
while we wait for the movie, MB went for a haircut at Cine and we had a cuppa at TCC there. took some boh-liao pictures...hee :P
(er.. this was rather close up but luckily my face not v big :P MB says my yellow jacket looked like some windbreaker lidat.. hah)
(Us trying to act 'seh'... but i think MB looked more like he's ready to concuss and sleep! *grinz*)
(hee this is my personal favourite :P we seldom take such cheeky shots! think it looks great, shall take more of such :P)
anyways, MB was so stressed during the exams that he had q a bad case of pimple outbreak. And having itchy fingers, he went to squeeze his pimples and blackhead until his face was red w pock marks!! *shakes head* Told him so many times liao, squeezing pimples will jus aggravate the surface of the skin and leave scars but he jus won't listen.. haiz, think i nid to drag him for facial soon..
Dinner was at Pepper Lunch again, coz i wanted him to try out the food. We shared a combo of steak n hamburger and 1 bowl of rice (we're on diet :P). Think the combo was not bad but MB says it tasted no diff frm Yoshinoya *faints* Hmm, i personally favours Pepper to Yoshi because it's on hot plate (sizzling hot in your face!) and yah well, it's a novelty, just like when Yoshi first came to S'pore... :) mebbe it'll die down soon when it open as many branches as Yoshi.. heh :P

my first online purchase
look what i found in my mailbox jus now! i was browing through Etsy last week and happened to saw a v nice handmade tote bag and I bought it!
it finally arrived this afternoon! was so scared that the ppl would cheat my money.. guess that was unwarranted for eh? ;)
me slowly opening the package from US. *heart thumping*
WOW! *jaw dropped* The packaging is in my fave color too!! *beams* and they're so professional! It came with a self-made badge and their namecard. cools~~~ *thumbs up*

anyways, was at sch almost the whole day ystd, researching abt FYP. Gosh, we're super slow man, so now trying to catch up and do alot of things!! Found alot of materials, but the huge amount of info waiting to be digest is rather traumatising.. We were in front of the comp at LWN until our eyes almost came out!! @_@ But we made some progress, like the general outline for our case study... hopefully we haf enough 'flesh' to fill up the 'bone structure'!!!
after that, Ben and I went town for dinner. Stupid Edwin refuse to go w us, saying wat we very last minute and he has to go back for dinner becoz his mum cook already (which was only like 3pm when we sugg goin out lor!!!) ;P zzzzz den he said meet next week, but i'm already starting work lar!! urgh.
We ate Pepper Lunch at Taka, the new fast food joint from Japan. Not bad tho, filling but v full, tasty and fragrant as well. i ate the Beef Pepper Lunch coz that's the cheapest and Ben ate the 2nd cheapest, Curry Beef. But he said it's not so nice coz the curry was in the form of powder and not really the curry gravy type, so not that tasty. Shall try the combo with MB after his exams!! :P
we were walking around, trying to look for some Xmas gift ideas for my MB.. saw a nice CK underwear at the Men's dept. Not bad u noe, hahah last time I got him CK underwear was q long ago... :P then we saw slippers, t-shirts and what nots. Gosh, I din come town for only like 1 month and they're so many additions already!!
haha i took the photo w the Taka Xmas tree again!! Look at the one below!! same tree but it was taken last year!! only diff is the one above is uglier coz i'm in specs, no make up and longer hair!! :P
there's this real cool drinking-cum-restaurant called Balcony at Heeren there.. has 2 storeys and the 2nd floor entrance is inside Heerens one. on the basement they haf those nice rocking chairs (eh look like half an egg shape one, duno how to describe) and the whole atmosphere was so cool!!! :P shall go in and try one day... :)
am still in a pretty 'high' mode after exams are finished...well not quite, coz i still haf a GE paper this fri.. but i'm already enjoying my short hols!!! coz i can't do this anymore starting from next week when my internship at KPMG starts... haizz :/ but it's at least still a small source of income la, albeit it's really little :P
oh speaking of which, received notice for interviews at the other 3 Big 4 firms on next mon and tue, which also are my first 2 days of work!! kewl.. wonder if they allow me to go anot... Deloitte's one is on monday and it's like a 3hrs grp interview lo, by the time i finish, they shud knock off liao... hahaa :P means effectively my 1st day of work is only half-day! Tue also, PwC in the morn and EY in the afternoon, but think those shud be like 30min the max or sth...
hope i can get offer for all 4!! *wishful thought* hee :P but think if i do get them, i'll rank PwC 1st, Deloitte 2nd and KPMG last!! wahahahahha ;D wish me luck!

had a fun night today!!!had bbq at Ben's void deck tonight because he wanted to clear away his bottles of liquor.
Met up with Xinni at J8 for some window shopping before heading over. J8 really changed alot and it's like always changing every week lidat!! I remembered some shops weren't there when i went like 1 month ago.. oh and there was the 校園Superstar auditons going on at the open area. We kaypo and went to check it out. Boy!! the students there are really daring man! although many of them went out of tune, but i think it took them alot of courage to go up the stage and introduce themselves. Throughout the brief 20min while we were there, i think only 2 of them succeeded to the next round. Guess not everyone can cut out to be a singer idol. :)
after that, Geok met up w us and we took a bus to Ben's house. The guys were already there bbq-ing the food when we got there. I mus say the chicken wings were awesome!! well marinated and very juicy!! :P I brought my fave german sausages as well and luckily they were all wiped out!! :P
it was overall quite a good bbq... food was great, company was good also.. we chatted about our past seminars and a few gossips here n there... :P we later adjourned to Ben's house, which was not surprisingly littered w all his nephews' toys!! haha :) but the 2 kids were really cute, esp the younger one, Ryan, so obedient!!! haha shall visit his hse often to play w the kids! P/S Ben, i volunteer to be their nanny!!! ;P
anyways, as it was rather early, we decided to go to Wala Wala since Sin drove. I've heard much about Wala's, esp the bands playing there, but din really had time to check it out until tonight. Din expect it to be rather small and it was q crowded too. Sin's friend was standing in for the lead singer Shirlyn of The Unexpected, who was ill. Songs were not bad tho, altho some i heard before when i went to China One the other time. but it was great!! had fun taking loads of pics w Geok, the trigger happy babe :P

Hi guys, here's an appeal to all of you to kindly donate to my Feb '06 Phuket dive trip fund!! :PWell u see, MB won himself 1st prize in a underwater photography competition and the prize was a subsidised dive package to Phuket for 2D2N, excluding air fare.
The dive sites Hin Daeng & Hin Muang are near Phuket and it's a liveaboard dive trip where we get to stay on the White Manta cruise to dive. The dive sites are famous for whale sharks and giant manta rays and it's really a lifetime opportunity to be able to witness them swimming pass you! :)
So in order to go with MB to experience this wonderful dive trip, I currently need about S$700 for the entire trip. Guess much will be from my internship this Dec but i still need moolahs for the tickets?
Any kind souls out there who wants to donate to my Phuket dive trip fund? Let me know yah?? :) It's the season of giving this hols, so do give me more!! *winkz* ;P
was really blessed today to do the paper, altho i was practically freezing away ( i shan't wear shorts to Hall D anymore!! :P), but i felt pretty calm and composed while i was writing furiously away.. 6 questions in 2.5 hours, that's about 25 min each and I was really keeping watch of the time every now and then. Luckily I managed to finished the paper in time, and was able to spot a mistake in my tax comp for the 1st qn. thank God for the wonderful day! :)
i think i did okay for the paper, managed to write down most of the things I remember... now all's left is 306.. all the conso, translation and hedging!!! hopefully Peter Lee and Lee Kin Wai won't set too diff questions!!

woohoo had a great weekend!!!Finished my revision earlier than planned, so I rewarded myself with retail therapy on Friday n today!!! :P
act I was on the brink of breaking down (again) on thurs nite so I tot mebbe I really needed a well deserved break and went to town w Mum for window shopping.
Had the urge to grab wateva things that came to my vision (if ONLY i was that rich! *bleah*) but i wasn't really in the mood to shop.. prob coz i was really mentally tired frm studying and nothing seems to interest me. Only got a Nike top at the Suntec B.I.R.D shop which was going at 40% discount. Cheap bargain I wud say. :)
and met up w MB today.. din wanted to go out becoz i was rather guilty for Fri's shopping but I've been rejecting him too many times until I was already feeling very guilty towards him already. He also studied until almost going crazy, to the point that he told me Neurobio makes him puke (literally!!) sometimes. So I decided that i nid to 'save' him from all the madness of his bio texts and get him out of the house.
and guess what? He had a 1.8K retail therapy. :P We went to to take a look at the DSLR camera he was interested in at Funan but the shop din haf the lens that he wanted and asked him to come by 1 week later. Later on we were walking to Marina Sq and caught an eye of Cathay Photo store there and voila!! He bought the new Olympus E500 DSLR in 15min!! ;) phew, now he can finally stop pestering me to go see the camera w him!! :P
anyways, I started to pick up Kor's Harry Potter & Half Blood Prince book a week back and I used it as sort of a de-stress tool when i get bored from studying... The book was quite interesting, consider i'm a small POtter fan. Always loved those spells and potions the book wrote, how i wish i can use some spells or Apparate to school to save me some travelling time! Oh there was this lucky potion called Felix Felicis thingy, can make a person very lucky if he drink that potion. I wish I can haf a bottle of that, den I'll portion it off for my 4 papers and I'll be able to get 4As!!!! *wishful thought*
alrites, back to my Harry Potter....First paper on Tue!! Can't wait coz that means my hols will start very soon!!! :P Gd luck pals!! Press on!! Go Go 加油！

my period is finally here after almost 3 months of hiatus.now i'm in great pain, but i'm still blogggin. i mus be crazy.
mebbe i shall try the Evening Primrose thingy Geok was talking abt last time. but heard frm Tif that the pill is rather big. I hate big pills, never liked to swallow any of those stupid pills/tablets. :/
i feel as if my stomach is being torn apart and i feel sleepy. issit suppose to be part n parcel of this whole period thingy? sianzzzz, why mus women suffer this kinda shiite every month? :/
feel lk goin for holiday to a cold cold country during hols. but i'm gonna work and i'm vvv poor, no money to travel anywhere except prolly Sentosa for a tan? :/
shall get some sleep bfore i start on Audit again.... all those risks, material misstatements, internal controls, audit procedures shitte... so repititive that I think i actually dreamt abt it while i was sleeping... kewl :/
